Two GeneralsThe two armies stand on each side of a huge field. The field itself is tranquil and beautiful. The flowers and grass look just normal; however, the edges have been painted a muddy brown from the soldiers trudging through their camps. They have been here for days, awaiting the order to attack. A huge general clad in armour of the darkest black watches his men; they have started getting impatient, a few fights have broken out, but nothing too serious. The KillerA flash of silver. A spurt of crimson. As the woman’s limp body falls against the wall, a faint scream escapes her lips before being drowned by the gaping hole in her throat. A stream of red flows down her body in methodical pulses, like the blood is eager to exit the body. The man who stands above her, glances down in fascination, and then shifts his gaze to the knife in his hand. As he contemplates his work, the familiar, yet now so distant feeling of regret, is washed away by a sudden burst of euphoria and childish glee. He has endured this immense wave of enemies for several hours now; he’s lost an arm, but his spear still strikes with a savageness that’s almost inhuman.
